Teatro Regio, Turin, Italy, by Carlo Mollino

From Sarah:
“Carlo Mollino is one of my favourite architects. His work combined a very personal sensuality with a unique vision of modernism. His portfolio includes a ski lodge, an equestrian centre and a decadent bachelor apartment in the centre of the city full of secret mirrors and voiles.
“The Teatro Regio is the city’s Opera House, originally designed by Filippo Juvarra, which was partially destroyed in a fire. Mollino wove new elements into the old fabric making it as a sumptuous cultural venue whose interiors is a vivid shade of shocking pink.”
