Green School in Bali by Elora Hardy
“Kind and beautiful building — connected to people and nature — For many years I have been trying to build a structure from bamboo, but every time I have got close something happens and it falls through.
“Last year I was introduced to the incredible work of Elora Hardy by Neil Thomas, Atelier One, at the Royal Designer for Industry nomination meeting. Being told she is leading the world in designing buildings from completely renewal resources was pretty amazing but when I saw images of the incredible buildings I was completely overwhelmed.
“The structure in their natural settings are so beautiful and I would love to experience her buildings in Bali, to feel the atmosphere and the connection it has with its surroundings. Her buildings and how she makes intricate physical models and then builds directly from them resonates strongly with me.” – Morag Myerscough.
